- HolidayLettings introduces video and photo slideshows to vacation rental listings. The TripAdvisor-owned site is using the mothership’s TripWow technology to power the new functionality, giving users a sequence of multimedia including detailed breakdown of location and home images, plus background music (!).
- Early announcement for the relaunch of VTravelled, the social network from Virgin Atlantic. Hg2 (A Hedonists Guide To) will provide destination content on 33 global destinations on the network, scheduled for relaunch by end of 2011. In the meantime some of the content will appear on the site’s temporary blog.
- Louvre Hotels Group implemented ExtraConnect, an integrated central reservation and channel management system from industry leaders Pegasus Solutions and RateTiger by eRevMax International. ExtraConnect allows Golden Tulip properties to manage rates and availability within the reservations process for its online distribution and marketing partners without the need for manually handling various extranets.
